"Really friendly staff, and fantastic food - both the dinner and the breakfast. Sunday lunch had run out by the evening but still a very good choice otherwise. My husband really enjoyed his fish and chips!"

"Pet-friendly BUT you need to know that the guesthouse is just a small part of a large caravan and camping site. There’s also a field of horses. Guesthouse clients with dogs are only allowed in rooms accessible from the outside; we weren’t allowed inside the building. So my room opened directly onto the access road, with all the mud and noise that comes from all the traffic, walkers, and horses that passed in front of the door and small window. "Good location in beautiful scenery not far from some walks. On a main road but it was completely silent at night. Suite was lovely and bigger than expected, with beautiful views, and a very modern bathroom with a fab shower. The bed did have a weird slope to it though which put our feet higher than our heads! Food in the pub at dinner time was expensive and average, although breakfast was plentiful and good quality. Enjoyed our stay very much. "

"This is a nice hotel but I would advise booking a room on the second floor as none of the rooms have carpets so I didn't get a lot of sleep due to the people upstairs repeatedly getting up and walking about at all hours followed by the draymans delivery early in the morning which was right below my room. Its a perfectly good stay and very well situated in Bala,.... just make sure you book a second floor room."
