"This hotel was probably state of the art 35/40 yrs ago. It’s very well photographed but in honesty… it’s awful. Rooms are worn out, carpets in places are threadbare. Bathroom had various it’s broken or loose. In the evenings was a constant smell of over cooked vegetables that was very unpleasant. Having spoken to locals it’s recently been taken over but it’s in need of HUGE investment I (and neither will my colleagues) definitely won’t be staying there again."

"We were a family. It was a great place to stay for the night while waiting for the ferry to Dublin. Fun time in the restaurant-pub on trivia night. Excellent breakfast."

"Bed and breakfast was great, the staff were lovely. There were lots of little touches in the room for example, decent coffee sachets and the breakfast consisted of many cooked choices + cereals, yoghurt and fruit etc. The room was very clean and the shower was good. The only slight negative was the location as there wasn’t much around and after our dinner reservation was cancelled (chef was ill I think) we had to try and find somewhere else to eat which required driving to get there. "We stayed here one night as a last minute getaway from the heat back home . The property was spotless and everything was so thoughtful , so many personal touches showing the care they take with their guests . They went above and beyond when I had an issue with my car charging and drove me all the way to it, which would have cost £50 in a taxi. My children loved the animals on site and the owners were very patient answering all their questions ! Thank you so much for your kindness !"

"Hotel looking very tired. 3 black bin bags and a broken cup remained in the corridor for 2 days and was still there when I left. Booked a double room but was given one with 3 beds, window didn’t open. Nowhere to put any wash bags etc in the bathroom. Bed was comfy and food was ok. Be aware if you book to stay via a third party app like Expedia, the hotel will charge you £10 per night to park in the car park"

"Great place to stay in Holyhead. Clean, comfortable and the common area was great for relaxing. Tea, coffee, snacks, microwave and fridge provided in the common area. Great pizzas close by as well. The host was also very knowledgeable and friendly."

"Good location within walking distance of the small village centre, beach, and golf course. The property was a good space with what you need. Bed was comfortable and the place was warm. Cleanliness was an issue, there were still hairs in the bathtub. The shower head holder also did not stay in place which made it difficult to take showers without spraying water everywhere. One toilet roll provided for a week is a bit tight. Overall, would've been a nice space if more attention and care was given...

"great views and lovely location. The property is being sold and clearly needs a loving hug. It will make for a beautiful home with someone giving it some care and attention. Great place for a short stay - no tea towels or soaps sadly but generally clean and tidy."

"WOW!!!!! What a property! From amazing scenic views from the property, to the cosy lounges, fantastic bedrooms and garden this really is the spot to have a peaceful break. The village itself is quaint with nice pubs a short walk away and a small harbour and playground for children. We have already said we will book again."
