"Excellent 3 night stay at the hotel.... I was in a single room (29) which was basic but perfectly adequate for what I needed. The only issue with the room was the shower wasn't particularly powerful but was ok. Everything else about the hotel was very good, staff were lovely, especially the breakfast team. The breakfast itself was an excellent buffet service with nicely cooked full selection and toast served to order.
The hotel has it's own restaurant / bar food is really good.....
The only other issue is the poor surface condition of the car park especially the rather steep entrance...I was on a motorbike so it's always more noticeable .......but nothing too bad. It's also covered CCTV so I felt more comfortable leaving my bike there.
Overall an excellent little hotel, quiet, clean, well located, great food, lovely staff and sensibly priced."
"Our family had such a great stay at the Toravaig House Hotel. From the moment we arrived the team was welcoming and helpful. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The breakfasts were spot on and delicious; my favorite the kedgeree (yum). There is no evening restaurant on site (yet, I believe that may be changing in the autumn) but we ordered the charcuterie boards for one of our evenings and were not disappointed. Also the bar options are bijou but ideal; whiskey lessons included :) We used the shuttle service to dine at the Duisdale Hotel one evening, and really appreciated that service. We met four staff members during our couple of days and they were all friendly, helpful and interesting to chat with. Thank you to the whole team for making our brief time on Skye comfortable. We will be back for an extended trip before too long."
"The hotel was in a lovely location overlooking the water with a free parking lot at the side and back of the hotel. Check-in was seamless; however, the person who attended to us at check-in, seemed preoccupied and didn’t make an effort to welcome us nor explain everything to us when we arrived. The room that we had booked was as advertised with a king bed and an unobstructed view of the water. However, the room was underwhelming in the sense that it had no dresser for clothes nor side tables on each side of the bed. The room had ample room for these items. The room also was not decorated on the walls. These touches would enhance the room and provide more convenience for customers. There were parts of the room that were also not dusted and the carpets were stained. The bed was extremely comfortable with fresh linens that were very clean. The highlight of this hotel was the lounge area with a bar as well as the dining area with views of the ocean. The breakfast was outstanding and the service in the dining room and lounge was very good. Aside from the state of the room, we enjoyed our time at this hotel and would return. However for the quality I would say that the rates are a bit overpriced."
"We had a lovely stay. The hotel has been nicely renovated and you can tell they have paid attention to the small details. We especially liked that they provided The Scottish Fine Soaps Company toiletries, which was a nice touch.
As we had an early ferry to catch the next morning, the hotel thoughtfully prepared a takeaway breakfast for us the night before. It included fresh fruit, yogurt, handmade cheese and pickle bread, snacks, and sparkling water. It was really convenient and much appreciated. Great service and highly recommended."
"A beautiful property in a very quiet village, which we loved. A really good base to travel around the Isle of Skye. Breakfast was fab too! We stayed in the manse house and had a large room with double aspect. Great bathroom. Shower was amazing!"
