"Having stayed at Ruskin many times over past few decades I find the cleanliness and staff service always to a good standard- rooms are cleaned each day. There has been a rise in bar prices however my concern is the breakfast is not of the quality I previously experienced. Whilst the layout is good with various choice of cooked or cold foods I found there has been a decline in the quality of the produce served with hot breakfast "

"We stayed here just as a stop over and it was a very small and low double bed in a huge room. It wasnt the cleanest so I was glad I had slippers with me. Shower ceiling was too low for a 6'2 person so my partner had to crouch. The main parts of the hotel looked nice on arrival, but we didnt make use of it. Nice and quiet despite the location."

"Food was good, bed was murder 😩 i did ask for a topper but unfortunately they don't have them. They put a quilt under so we could sleep on that but it never made any difference. The only thing i would say that was bad about our stay was the mattress."

"Great location and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room itself was ok, a bit tired and in need of a refresh, it was clean and the bed comfy. I’d say breakfast wasn’t cooked to order purely by the speed it appeared, it was standard English breakfast, though felt one rasher of bacon and one sausage was a bit of a poor show, when you generally get two of each of those items elsewhere. It was however decent quality. The selection of cereals and pastries was good, the Greek yoghurt creamy, the croissants were a tad small. Overall cost, location, amenities and staff mean I’d stay again"
