"Lovely hotel right in the middle of the village so really easy to walk to restaurants etc. Themed hotel with very knowledgeable and friendly owner. The museum in the square definitely worth a visit."

"The staff was absolutely wonderful and helpful for our stay. We loved our rooms, however we were switched from a room with air conditioning to an apartment without due to an issue with the suite we had reserved. This gave us more space, but we had to leave the windows open for airflow. One room was comfortable, the other was a bit warm during the night during the heatwave. Otherwise, the hotel was absolutely perfect for our stay."

"We could not do the visit due to a family emergency and needed to move the dates of our stay.. We had been scheduled to stay in one of the junior suites and were excited and looking forward to our trip. When approached regarding moving our stay the hotel staff were blunt, unhelpful and refused to even consider moving our visit to another date over the summer. Clearly this is a luxury hotel without any soul, pride or sense of retaining it’s reputation.. This is the poorest treatment we have had...

"First of all Bayeaux is one of the most charming towns we visited in France. The location of the Declic hotel is the best in town. You are across the street from the weekly massive market. The market was better than most I've seen in big cities--fresh fish, freshly baked bread, fruit and vegetables galore, tons of cooked food, cheese, meats and lots of hot prepared food too. "Small rooms…little room for two suitcases. Basic but adequate breakfast. Easy location…easier to drive to town center. Good for night before WWII beaches. AC not very strong. Noise could be heard from outside hotel (guests watch TV, horses at vet clinic) and inside (kids on a field trip enjoying the next room over!) Adequate, but nothing special."

Nothing was too much troubloe for the owner and her staff and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area especially if you plan to visit the D Day beaches.
