Nice and convenient if you want to stay near Chinatown/Union Station. All of Chinatown is within walking distance and the area didn't feel dangerous even at night (but use caution at night just like any city). Union Station was also within walking distance, which made it very convenient to use Flyaway to/from LAX and the Dodger express to the stadium. The room I stayed in was newly renovated so it was pretty nice, but the hallways and common areas were rundown and dirty. I believe they're going through renovations though. Also, I stayed a Saturday and Sunday night, and both nights there was loud music coming from down the street all night long. I think it was from the Korean bbq place around the corner. It was annoying so if you're a light sleeper make sure to bring earplugs. There was no breakfast, but just down the street is Philippe's, which was very good. There was also a mini fridge in the room but no microwave, which I thought was odd. Overall a good place to sleep if you're coming in for an event at the stadium.

I Stayed here with my family initially for a week. I chose to extend my stay in this hotel for another 6 days due to its facilities. The location is great and easily accessible via public transport. Union station is only 6-8 minutes walk away. Reception staff is polite and cooperative. Other staff members are also very helpful. Room services are excellent. Although the hotel is old, many rooms have been renovated and standard of cleanliness in the rooms is up to the mark. The distance from LAX airport is about 15 miles. Uber/Lyft can be used to travel from the Airport to the Hotel or the LAX Flyaway service could be utilized which operates between the LAX airport and Union station (bidirectional) from 4am to 1am daily. There is affordable paid Parking on the ground floor and a smoking area is available here as well. China Market is located at a 5 minutes walk with a diverse option for souvenirs, electronics and food items. Reception staff is present 24/7. We found it safe and secure.

Booking, communications with hotel & room all excellent. Literally a 3 minute walk from LA Union Station. Old hotel so has somewhat rundown outside appearance, but room recently remodeled. Excellent value!

I love how close to the venue and how close other food places were. I was able to just walk around. Staff were friendly. I wish the back gate would have an automatic gate so that I wouldn’t have to ask the front desk to send someone to open it for me.

This is our third time staying at metro plaza. We never had a problem. staff and garage attendant very nice . Also the price for parking is great. This is my to go place in LA. ❤️

Mi habitación estaba muy limpia y la atención del personal fue de 10. El hotel está descuidado y le hace falta una remodelación, pero eso no quita que todas las esquinas estaban muy limpias. Alrededor hay varios vagabundos de noche, pero en todos Los Angeles los hay. Esta muy bien ubicado si te interesa el centro. El barrio mexicano está a 5 minutos, Little Tokyo a 20. Yo me iba caminando a todos lados desde allí. Algo que me encantó, es que a 2 minutos está uno de los restaurantes emblematicos de la ciudad... Phillips Sandwiches, que están deliciosos. El hotel es económico y obtuve más de lo que esperaba por ese precio. Sí tengo que ir al centro de la ciudad, me quedaré de nuevo.

I booked Metro Plaza for 3 nights. Read a bunch of reviews so I felt I had a good understanding of the hotel. We arrived early and was able to check-in on a Saturday before the official 3pm. It was a breeze & got in our room fast. We had a car so they charged us $5/day upfront & i put a little ticket on my dash before we went up to the room. Props to the parking attendants, they were very happy & quick to usher you to a spot. My request for a room on the 4th floor on back side of hotel was not granted. Instead, we got a room on the 3rd floor next to the housekeeping room. I was debating on changing rooms after the first night as it was a bit loud with the housekeepers conversations & noise from the washing machines/dryers, but it was somewhat tolerable. Conversation & some noises would start about 8am. That was on me for not changing room, but most of the time, we were out & about until evening when they went home anyways. It seemed as if the room was upgraded as there was new bed frames, desks & updated bathroom w/tile. It would have been nice to have a desk seat, but there were a couple of short ottomans instead. Shower water pressure was low, but able to get hot water if you barely cracked the faucet in the shower & rain shower felt like it was gently raining; would have been nice if it was more pressure, but was able to get hot showers every night. We need up booking Metro Plaza because we were going to a concert at LA State Historic park. Walk was a breeze.

ドジャーススタジアムのシャトルバス乗り場から近いので観戦に便利でした。ただ、他の方が言ってるように、何人かのホームレスが道で寝てますが、ガソリンスタンドなどがあり周りは明るいのでなんとかなりました。フロントには大きな監視モニターがあり、ホテルの人が終始見ているので、セキュリティは高めな気がします。古い建物なので隣の声がよく聞こえますが、清潔で気持ちよく過ごせました。 It is convenient because it’s close to the Doger stadium shuttle bus stop. As others have mentioned, there are some homeless people in this area, but with gas station around, the surroundings are well-lit so it is manageable. There is a large surveillance monitor at the front desk with hotel staff constantly monitoring it. Since it’s the old building, you can hear voices from the next room clearly, but it’s clean and comfortable room.

Very convenient location. About 10-20 min walk to Little Tokyo or Chinatown. Free parking is a pleasant surprise. Hotel is a little older but clean and convenient. Its not luxurious like with breakfast, amenities but the price, safety and some cleanliness is the point. We attended a political rally and this was perfect. Reasonable price.
