"We were warmly welcomed, and even though we had arrived just as they were preparing to close the restaurant, they kept a table for us, and as it happens, some other latecomers. The food was freshly prepared, and worth the wait. In the morning the courtesy continued, attentive without being overbearing. Setting was good too. Highly recommended."

"Our over stay was ok. We didn't sleep very well as the bed was so uncomfortable. Breakfast was horrible we have stayed in alot of hotels and by far this was the worst. There wasnt alot of choice and what was there was dry and horrible. We went down to the bar and had our dinner and that was very nice. We wouldn't stay there again at all."

"Staff were very helpful and the restaurants were very nice and prices were reasonable with the 20% off for guests and the free breakfast was nice with plenty of options Good size rooms our room was at the top on the second floor and found it quite warm but the was a fan but no aircon and no lifts so I struggled a bit with Injury to knee but doable they did offer a ground floor room if I wanted but it was ok The outside terrace attached to the restaurants was nice and overlooked the nice beach"

"Ist time to what Lowestoft needed a great affordable hotel, expect perfection and you will be not be disappointed Exceptionaly nice appearance on arrival, very nice welcoming and knowledgeable staff. Bar lovely, plenty of info on restaurant menu. Tight menu, but in apperance and taste exceptional flavours, all home made and local, impressive clean decor through out hotel Room/ chalet annexe was 10/10 with all the essentials and more ,so comfy, with cosy bed. Despite building work still in progress you can see the finished product will be outstanding, with every atttention to detail to make a great stay Only negative when its bedtime and you need your sleep, the noise from the gravel is annoying. Always avoided a staying in lowestoft, as majority of hotels are in desperate need of life support, as the hotels are tired and need major investment. The Coach House could be the inspiration the other hotels nearby need in the revival Lowestoft needs. Thank you all at the Coach House, will return asap."

"Room was fabulous and clean. Staff were helpful. Lack of accessible mirror with good lighting in the bathroom meant putting in contact lenses was impossible. Breakfast was disappointing. When taken to our table one of the saucers had drips of tea all over it and when collecting our food a few of the ‘clean’ plates were not clean. Food was nothing special, no better than Premier inn. To be fair we didn’t order off the separate menu. Attention to detail at breakfast was a bit lacking for a high caliber hotel."

"The public areas of the hotel are well maintained, however, the family room that we stayed in had mould on the windows and filthy net curtains. My daughter and I cleaned the bottom of the windows in order to open them to let in some fresh air. The general appearance of the room was very tired and worn, but the beds were clean. The service was generally quite slow especially in the dining room and bar. The pool areas were generally clean, but again looked in need of a bit of updating. Pool side furniture was rather worn and tired. The amenities were good and the general appearance is fine. We would go again, but possibly request a better/different room? The position of the property is great, close to Norwich and the Norfolk Broads."
