This is absolutely the worst hotel room I've ever stayed in. It's old yes - but it's obvious management did not care what the property or the room looked like. Carpets had huge tears in it, bedspread and curtains had holes in them, towels and sheet were stained (so hopefully they were at least clean. Bathtub was stained and had bathtub rings, bathroom vanity was separating from the wall, closet was missing closet rod and supports (obviously no hangers) and to top it off - no hot water for bath. Sink was clogged and I saw a roach at night in the bathroom - but the room was so disgusting that was not surprising. I can't believe Wyndham allows this property to use it's name.

Worst stay ever, staff was helpful, but the hotel was extremely rundown every smelled bad like cigarettes and dirt. We arrived late so had no option but to stay the night, room was roach infested, everything thing had dust, Tv didn’t work, two lights working in the room, microwave was broken. Scary night. Nightmare stay. Thank goodness we got another hotel for the next night.

I booked a non smoking room, but room was full of pot smell, no WiFi even after multiple times told the receptionist, no hot water. This is so terrible experience, I’ll never book a motel again in bayonet / Wyndham

Found hair and a used bandage on bathtub. Toilet would not flush. Lamp had spliced cord and only one prong on cord. TV didn't work. Bed was fairly comfortable and AC did work even if somewhat noisily.

Dirty room changed cause no hot water bugs, female staffer rude. 2nd room no bulbs no fridge microwave AC/HEAT not working. Maintenance man Danny very helpful broght bulbs n battery for beeping alarm, also fridge n tv. But no heat or air left asap after wedding cause 43 degrees outside too cold to stay in room anyloger. Sorry cant recommend or be back money was waste i have never been disappointed in a stay before. Weekend was suppose to special but downsided by this stay but it needs help

The room had holes in the walls, the doors and carpet. The bed had a single sheet on it — no blanket or duvet of any kind. The bathroom had one single towel in it, which did not look clean whatsoever. There was no trash bin in the room. There was no secondary dead lock on the outside facing door, and the electronic car system on the door was busted open on the inside. There was tissue stuffed into the peephole in the door as well. Directly outside the room were homeless people milling about, and when I went down to the car one was staring and swearing at me at a 20ft distance, thankfully, but this was still extremely unsettling. This was without a doubt the worst hotel room and area I have ever had the displeasure to be in. My girlfriend and I left without staying the night and had to book a hotel elsewhere. We are avid travellers and have stayed and Baymonts in the past with good experiences, but after this one we likely will not be staying at any Baymont hotel ever again.

I know this hotel was cheap so I didn’t expect much but I did expect to clean room a room. It didn’t stink we asked for a new room. The new room still stunk had holes in the wall that were stuffed with a washcloth and the tub had dirt in it. I would never ever ever recommend this hotel.

This was very literally our only option to stay in Lubbock, and we chose to drive back home. Cockroaches and bugs were everywhere, and the chair in the corner was soiled in every place a human would touch it. Surfaces were visibly dirty and the floor wasn’t vacuumed.

Rooms bug infested not clean chair stains sheetrock missing where they had been working? Writing on the door trim Had to change the room 4 times .totally not acceptable Didn't stay. Great full for the refund. First time this ever happened to us .

NO Running water, Door would not lock, Very dangerous, several broken items in the room. WE DID NOT STAY THERE. HAD TO GET ANOTHER ROOM. THE HOTEL AGREED TO GIVE US A CREDIT, BUT EXPEDIA WOULD NOT HONOR IT. WE GOT SCREWED.

The Baymont by Wyndham Lubbock is unacceptable for the following reasons: The room we were given was absolutely disgusting. There were german roaches on the walls! There was a roach on the wall above the tv. There was another roach on the wall above the headboard of the 2nd bed. The bathroom was disgusting. There were 2 german roaches in the bathroom. One was on the wall, and one was on the floor. There were black stains around the sink, and the toilet/shower area was discolored brown instead of white. The door to the room was severely damaged. There were huge dents on the door area where the locks connect to the door frame. I was definitely concerned that the homeless man outside our door, standing in the parking lot, would be able to break into the room. Immediately, after surveying the room I returned to the front desk and told the man (working the night shift) that the room had roaches on the walls and we would not be able to stay in the room. He didn't seem surprised at all.

Ive been to a lot of bad hotels in my lifetime. But this one takes the cake. 1 of 2 beds were made when we walked in. Blood and boogers on the wall,roaches, our pillows were urine yellow,inside of toilet was moldy and no hot running water. The desk guy offered a other room but that one was even worst with added male fluids in their chair cushions. Go to the free breakfast area after complaining to a new desk person that showed zero care or concern. And we spot a roach crawling on the the wall towards a huge roach nest in the corner of the breakfast area. We have pbotos of everything to prove it. This hotel is a nightmare and to top it off the manager only wanted to deal with us over the phone with the desk lady as a 3rd party messenger offering 50 dollar refund. Baymont and public health services will be contacted. No one should pay 260 a night to stay in a nightmare. Unsatisfied.

Baymont by Wyndham Lubbock – Downtown Civic Center: A True American Horror Story Wow. Just… wow. The word “disgusting” doesn’t even begin to describe this place. The room reeked of cigarettes, armpits, and broken dreams. The bedspread looked like it had survived multiple pandemics — COVID, SARS, and possibly the Black Plague. The carpet was torn in several places and looked like it hadn’t seen a vacuum since the Clinton administration. None of the lamps worked — which might actually be part of their strategy because darkness is the only way you’d want to see this room. If you’re looking for a place that tests your immune system, congratulations — you’ve found it! One star only because zero stars isn’t an option. On a plus side, they must be so used to people wanting a refund they didn’t even argue with us.

First room was dirty with trash everywhere, bare bulbs in lamps, smelled like someone died, and unmade bed. Second room had holes in the walls, black plastic stapled above bathroom door, dirty linens, smoke alarm that went off all night, and smelled. Dirty people seemed to be living in hallways/rooms with doors opened. Random animals & people wondering around. Staff dis not speak english. Do NOT recommend!
