" My mother booked a room for me after a long day of meetings and had to be up early in the morning for another long day. i live over an hour away and staying closer cut down my travel time immensely! So I go to check in and the hotel attendant at the front desk tells me that I can’t use a chime or Cash App card for incidentals! And that was the only cards I had on me. Then I was told that they could not cancel the reservation and that we needed to call Hotels.com to cancel and if the website was not updated with the information about the cards it was not the Westins responsibility to cancel or refund back to my mother. I was crushed to say the least because I love the Westin and have stayed there plenty of times and never ran into this problem. I understand that there may be issues when trying to refund the money back to chime, but nothing was said at the time of booking. So I ended up staying at a hotel up the street. So word to the wise…DON’T try to use your chime/cash app card for incidentals!!"
