Our stay was eventful and very nice... until it wasn't. The entire property was clean, my only complaint is the highway noise but we stayed at a hotel right by the interstate so it was expected. The room was nice. The lady working at the front desk was extremely nice and professional. Yet when there was a tornado on the ground and heading directly our way, she informed us that she was very sorry but the hotel did not have a plan for that, and off the top of her head the best place would be the bathrooms in our rooms. So ~15 of us stayed on the first floor gathered in an interior hallway instead of going upstairs to our rooms. I feel like the hotels manager either needs to put together a plan, or if there is one, ensure that all staff know of it or a location of a map of the property with shelters on it.

Our experience at this hotel was outstanding!!! The rooms were neatly arranged and clean, and the staff were very professional. We visit Macon GA twice a year and Residence Inn is always our #1 hotel of choice. The staff provides outstanding guest services characterized by warmth, personal respect and responsiveness. Thank you all so much as we truly look forward to our next visit!!!

Room was clean and had every amenity for a successful overnight visit to Macon, GA. The only issue was an overpowering bleach smell from cleaning the room when I first got to the room; but on advising staff, they sprayed a room freshener and turned on the air conditioning system to remove the odor. The bed linens also smelled strongly of bleach.

Parking was secure. The front desk staff were friendly, professional and kind. However, the building needs updating. Our room smelled like mildew, carpet was worn and old. The pool had a white film floating on top so we skipped a swim (that we were looking forward to after sitting for hours in tons of traffic). We traveled with family and a young child. Their room smelled strongly of cat urine. We arrived late due to traffic and were too tired to complain so we used our own air freshener which somewhat helped. Even though the rooms clearly stated no smoking our rooms and hallway reeked of marijuana.

A bit noisy for my tastes. It is certainly "easy on, easy off." Breakfast was great. It had oatmeal and their fixings. It had eggs and potatoes and meats. I do recommend staying here. Just be prepared for room and environmental noise.

Upon getting in the room after a 16 hour drive we go in and find three bugs crawling two cockroaches and not sure what the other was - dog hair was all over the couch - we left. Didn’t get a refund and going to take it further - highly grossed out and I would not advise staying here.
Roaches - Expedia would NOT relocate us because they have to see TWO bugs next to each other in the SAME photo- WILD CONCEPT
