"The Cacharel is like going back in time to a French ranch house. Staff is incredible- food is amazing. Gorgeous large pool (eat there!) rooms all have AC and are comfortable. Incredible location right by marshes with hundreds of flamingos and ample places to ride the iconic white horses. We had no idea how amazing this part of the world is. Would absolutely recommend if you want a wonderful once in a lifetime family adventure! We loved our stay (and added a night!) "

"First impressions were pleasant. We were a family of 5 staying in the family room with private bathroom. The room was quite basic - large enough for the 5 of us, with x2 double beds and a single bed comfortably fitting in the room. However it was lacking features that you may expect in hotels and especially for longer stays - eg) TV. "On my way to Spain, I made my stop for the night at this maison. The house is in an extremely quiet area and feels very relaxing. The house itself shows its age, and the surroundings around it is farmers land I assume. I had a room overlooking the pool, and the room was fine. Everything worked and was well maintained. The TV only had french stations so not worth watching. I couldn't get the wifi to set up (due to my clumsiness?) so I used my own. So please ask about it if you decide to stay...

"Stayed here several years ago and loved it. But this time was put in room 20. No door on the bathroom.....AWKWARD!!! No windows that opened and the bed had a huge dip in the middle. The breakfast buffet was as good as remembered and on site parking is great. But the place needs some TLC."
