DoubleTree by Hilton Seychelles - Allamanda Resort & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"As a person who travels 10 months a year and stays in many 4 and 5 star properties I must say my time at this property was lovely and memorable- and definitely gets two thumbs up and 5 stars. Because of the smaller size of the hotel (at 30 rooms) the engagement between the guests and the staff felt warm and genuine and the services felt more personal, the quality of the meals for instance being an example of this. My room was large and bright with an amazing sea view and my lanai was a much used and welcome surprise, both to relax on and enjoy the beautiful views. As a former resort manager myself who believes good service should be rewarded with heartfelt appreciation I wish to thank the following staff personally- to Doreen the general manager who is like a mother to the whole staff and welcomes guests like family; to Marie Michelle, Annabelle and Thea who are the smiling face of the hotel at the front desk and made my stay a pleasure from our first interaction; to head chef Carla and Dilip, Abishek, Harshl & Om who prepared the most delicious variety of meals; to Nyle, Tole, Tyra, Tina Ken & Binaya who served every meal with cheerful conversation and heartfelt greetings; to Vinay and Juliet who made sure my room was always clean and well stocked and to Asok who kept his eyes on the property and provided security for us all- I thank all of you most sincerely for a visit I will always remember with fondness- and to anyone considering a visit?- my recommendation is: 👍"
"Relaxing resort in a beautiful beach front atmosphere surrounded by mountains. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and the property is well maintained. The location is more convenient than the Four Seasons of you’re looking to explore Mahe and take a trip to La Digue and Praslin."
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Coral Strand Hotel, the location and beach were excellent. The Asian restaurant food was great as were all the staff.
We have to mention the standout staff member Shihan (guest services) who went well beyond his remit when we encountered a problem with our first room and subsequently a cancelled fight with the need for extra night’s stay. His professionalism, knowledge, understanding and efficiency made it all worry free – Thankyou.
Superb hotel, beach, location and staff."
"The rooms were maintained and cleaned to a very high standard
The staff were very courteous always greeted you with a smile on their face and never went past you without saying hello. The reception staff were very accommodating Suman on front desk who received us was very good.
In fact, all the staff were amazing restaurant staff in old restaurants they got to know what I wanted very fast and at one stage I just need you to sit down at the table and whatever I needed to eat was there !!
Good selection on breakfast, fruits fresh juices, breads and Alcote menu used to order from. And a waffle and pancake station to boot.!
The outdoor pool area was nice overlooking to see
I took a private villa room with a pool, which was absolutely amazing and very peaceful and private"
