"Our stay at Derwent House was exceptional. It was a lovely facility, clean, beautifully decorated with African art. The breakfasts were fabulous--many choices hot and cold, tasty and filling. All the staff were helpful and pleasant. The location is close to dining on Kloof Street and reasonably priced Uber rides get you to all the sights in the city. We could see Table Mountain from our room. I can't say enough good about this establishment and will recommend it to anyone traveling to Cape...

"The gardens are stunning! Room was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet had everything one would want and the staff was attentive and friendly. Perfect location for strolling down to lunch or dinner."

"Hotellet ligger på en dejlig rolig gade, men tæt på caféer/restauranter. Smukke fællesrum og værelser, men værelser er meget små. De 2 små pools er virkelig små men den øverste terrasse er hyggelig og med dejlig udsigt. Dårligt personale, man føler sig ikke velkommen overhovedet. Ingen smil og ingen snak. Fin morgenmad med alt hvad man kan ønske sig, men man skal ikke have et åbent køkken når personalet hellere vil checke deres mobiltelefoner end skabe en god stemning. Vi har oplevet utrolig god...

"Life truly is better at the Marly! What an amazing introduction to Cape Town! The staff members and Charisma were immediately helpful from the first second I walked in the door. The sea facing room was spacious and had a gorgeous view of the ocean. Also the aromatherapy was such a great relief to the senses. I enjoyed every minute of my 3 night stay and can’t wait to return on future visits to the area!"

"Good for a quick stay not for a true vacation. This place needs to updated and sprayed for ants. They also should consider hiring a person to help with bags upon arrival the hill ruins it. It’s cozy but it’s a shared house with the hosts. Good location"
