"We were unhappy with the condition of the bathroom, tub, sink, and counter, all in desperate need of replacing. Also, no closets or clothing racks to hang our clothes. Beds were comfortable, staff, very friendly and helpful... also apological for the condition of our room."

"Breakfast was good. Potatoes weren’t hot but there was plenty of other food to eat. Frankie, Portia and Terrance were all super helpful. They were always busy cleaning or doing something. Kudos on such great workers. It’s definitely a hotel we’d stay at again. "

"Yes; gym was clean but we asked for 2 keys after the first 2 didn’t work and was only told that they had one key. "

"The room wasn't clean at all and had a horrible smell. I never even stayed here and asked for a refund as I was leaving and they said despite the fact that the room was so dirty. They even had an unclean hallway. The bathtub had brownish stains on it and the drawers in the dresser wouldn't close were wide open. The refrigerator was gross and was wide open when I walked in and had an awful smell to it. 0/10 experience."

"The room was lovely and spotless. The grounds are beautiful. Judy does a delicious breakfast! She was very friendly and chatted a bit, which I appreciated since I was the only guest at the table."

"Okay but sheets are thin and feel synthetic. Breakfast okay but yogurt from a machine stating it included real cane sugar....?"

"The room was filthy, the tub had 5 inches of standing water in it. I had to snake out a giant wad of hair from the tub drain. Door did not seem to lock properly, had to use chair to keep door and curtain closed. This was the 2nd room we tried, the first had no functioning ac and was so filthy, ceiling sagging. Dogs barking in the room next door. The entire hotel was horrible, dirty, rundown, had what appeared to be unhoused people or prostitutes hanging around, partying loudly in the corridors....

"We had a great experience staying at Pinball Pete’s place. Very clean, cozy, comfortable, with use of the kitchen and some food provided … and, of course, pinball! Our host also went above and beyond in helping us to resolve an unexpected issue. Hoping to stay there again in the future."

"Pros: 1. Excellent breakfast with variety 2. Atmosphere feels welcoming Cons: 1. Poor cleaning, sofa and desk chair with visible stains. 2. The accessibility shower room was very inconvenient. The hand held shower head was great. But the shower head from the wall is poor water pressure. 3. The fan was so loud, even by shutting it off, and it was still constantly blowing. "

"Pro- Clean and updated rooms and bathrooms. Great staff. Con- Indoor pool was unheated and chilly. Whirlpool not operational although hot. Operating button missing, emergency button appears broken off and lack of use has the water looking less than inviting. The daily water checklists on the wall for sanitation levels was not clear if ever updated or measured daily. I didnt risk getting in."

"This property is more of a residential hotel than for one night guests like i was. "

"Look… We were in a jam. We reserved a $240/night room in Richmond and it was unsafe. There were no other rooms in RVA so we had to branch out. The room at Days Inn Ashland was a little sketchy, at best. "

"Very nice room with a sitting area, desk, dressing area, fridge, mostly accessible bathroom, comfy bed. Would definitely stay again."

"Room was super clean, the check-in co-worker was very efficient and kind, and the area and hotel in general were quiet and comfortable. Was a nice surprise to have a free hot breakfast included. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"The property look like it needs to be better maintained. The bathtub was chipped. It looks like there should be some painting done. "

"Clean and modern. Safe area. Close to restaurants and shops. Convenient drive to downtown. Only annoyance was one of the two elevators being out of service. "
