Hotel Mega Mare

6/10 Okay

"The location is what this hotel is all about. It is simply specatcular and very hard to beat really. We arrived late at night and were checked in fine by a very helpful young man. However, the next day, the experience took a dive. 1. The pool was closed. We specifically booked as it has a pool. No notification from the hotel it was closed. 2. After a busy day sightseeing, we came back to have a drink on the terrace to enjoy the view to be told the bar closes at 3.30pm and we cannot sit out on the terrace. 3. The rooftop bar was not open, seems as it has been a while since it was. 4. Breakfast was basic, despite their website saying it is an incredible experience. It was minimalistic, never chnaged in 5 days, lack of frsh fruit and surly service. Coffee was diabolicle. Order a cappucino instead. 5. Manager smoking in the lobby not a great look or smell. The hotel is nowhere near transport hubs or restaurant. Whilst there is free parking on site (not the garaged parking advertised) its essential to have a car or scooter to get about. As I satrted, the location was perfect and beautiful, however there will be better served premises along the same coastline. I did message the hotel while we were there, but 2 weeks later have not heard back from them. It is what it is. We enjoyed our trip and the sights we came to see, had a basic room to sleep in and thats about it."

Majestic Palace Hotel

"We loved our visit to the majestic Palace hotel. The property is absolutely gorgeous newly renovated very clean, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The gardens are beautifully maintained with gorgeous blooming and fragrant roses. The view from our room was spectacular overlooking the Mediterranean and the city. Our room was recently renovated and was just amazing with all the amenities and extremely quiet and comfortable. It was easy to walk to any place and the restaurants and bars nearby were very convenient. Highly recommend this property. The staff spoke English, and we felt very comfortable with our communication from start to finish."

"I cannot say enough on how helpful the staff was. We had an issue with the room the first day, Diane and Raja went out of their way in resolving issue and moved us to a different room. The staff at breakfast Marianna and her team was very welcoming and helpful and friendly. We had an enjoyable stay."

Hotel Royal Positano

"Lovely views, great balcony spaces, and friendly staff who made our stay here effortless. Breakfast is worth the extra charge; it was the largest buffet selection we experienced on our trip. It was enjoyable to be higher up in the city as it was quieter. Would recommend walking uphill from the hotel to experience more local shops and grocery stores. To maintain your sanity, DO NOT walk yourself and your suitcase to the hotel. Pay the porters. Or, if you must, take the road, not the stairs."

Hotel Savoia

"Hotel Savoia was our favorite hotel that we stayed at during our entire Italy trip. Such a cozy and special hotel in Positano, located in a central and convenient location. Less than 10 minutes walk down to the beach and bus stop, with lots of shopping nearby. Staff is so friendly and helpful. They assisted us with our ferry transportation due to cancellations from windy/rainy weather, restaurant recommendations, and any questions we had during check-in and check-out. We absolutely loved their breakfast - all the food that was provided was so thoughtful and fresh, coffee was made to order, and their staff was so attentive. We stayed in a room with a balcony and the view was breathtaking. We spent our evenings out on the balcony which was the perfect way to end our days. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Would absolutely stay here again."

Grand Hotel Excelsior Amalfi

10/10 Excellent

"Best view in Amalfi! Staff were all very friendly, included breakfast had lots of delicious options. Shuttle bus goes into town every 30 minutes, call in advance to coordinate a pickup and save yourself 70 euro on a taxi upon arrival. Restaurant had good food and good service, room service a bit overpriced, +20 euro on top of cost. Limited minibar in the hotel room but sufficient."

Hotel Sole Splendid

"We had a great time during our stay at Hotel Sole Splendid. The staff were very welcoming and greeted us with friendly smiles. The room itself was very clean, spacious with an amazing view of the beach. We really enjoyed our time in Maoiri, as it was much less hectic than the more busy Amalfi area. We were able to fully relax at the beach which is conveniently located right infront of the hotel. Everything was within walking distance with no endless steps to climb which was nice especially for my parents who are much older. Also, I have to mention how fanatic the breakfast buffet was! There were so many options to choose from and everything was delicious. I highly recommend staying here during your trip to the Amalfi Coast!"
