The room was very clean, the hotel was relaxing and the staff very friendly. The breakfast was a little limited but the coffee and fruit juices were good. The roof terrace had lovely views. Would definitely stay again.

Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel California, we were welcomed by a very helpful staff member. Though our room was on the small size it had everything we needed with a very good sized shower. There is parking on the road outside the hotel but be warned you need coins for the parking meter. The location was great with an easy stroll down to the front. We really appreciated the honesty bar enjoying a bottle of wine for 9 euros on the patio on our return after dinner.

Hotel offers very clean basic accommodation. My room was a small single but had everything I needed for a one night stay including coffee/tea AC and fan. Bathroom was small but adequate. Hotel is in a good location, close walk to the beach front. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We loved this hotel, we were upgraded and had a lovely balcony. The upstairs roof terrace was wonderful. An honesty bar is provided and is very good. The room was perfect, the bed comfortable and everywhere was spotless. The staff were very good. We will be back!

The room and the hotel looks very nice. The greeting was extraordinary, thanks Lució, your welcome made our day! The breakfast is very nice with lots of coffee and love. I really do recommend this hotel for you. It's a hidden gem, very close to the beach. Also, don't miss the little pub/restaurant almost in front of it, they serve very nice meals.

Great location-only a few minutes walk to the beach, with the hotel providing beach towels and an umbrella. Breakfast was delicious and very filling. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again and recommend to others.

A nice little property away from the busy area yet a nice 20 min walk away. super close to the beach (2 min walk) and there is a big supermarket one block away. Everyone I spoke to was pleasant and helpful. I had an early flght and they arranged a taxi ride at 4:45AM and someone was at the desk making sure all was good. Would stay again!

Great stay close to beach

Excellent renovated hotel with about a 2 minute walk to the beach. Room was very quiet also. They provide beach towels and umbrella also. We had room 202 which is the best front facing room as it has a large balcony with chairs.

Excellent location close to beach

Very nice hotel with a 2 minute walk to the beach. AC and fan were great. We had the room with a large balcony [202] which was nice. Shower and bed perfect. They also gave us beach towels for the beach. Food and grocery store very very close also. Also a very quiet hotel

This is a lovely comfortable hotel in a great location for walking to the beach, restaurants and the port. The breakfast is the best we have offered during all of our travels over 7 weeks in different cities in Spain! The staff members are friendly and always helpful. They take pride in their hotel. This is our second stay and we will definitely be back!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast with fruits and bread changing each day. I would give this hotel 5 stars except the shower didn’t work for the first two nights of our stay, which was disappointing after a long and tiring journey.

Quirky and in a great position, about 15 mins pleasant walk into the city. Room was quite small and basic with no view, but it was fine as we were out all three days. Breakfast was the highlight. No buffet, but the coffee and selection they bring you is fabulous. Would stay again.

10/10 Wonderful stay at Hotel California during our first visit to Malaga. The hotel is beautiful, quaint and welcoming. The rooms have been updated and our particular room was quiet. The breakfast each morning to start the day was absolutely amazing served by a very kind and helpful staff. 5-minute walk to the beach! We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!
