The COVID-19 pandemic may have changed how we travel, but it hasn't stifled our passion for exploring. Here are a few tips on how to handle the new challenges of travelling:

• Find out if any travel restrictions apply to your origin and destination before booking anything. Also check if there are any special conditions you'll need to follow on arrival, such as testing and quarantining.
• Requirements state you must wear a face mask at the airport, including at screening checkpoints. Be ready to adjust your mask for identification purposes when asked by a TSA employee.
• Do not hand your boarding pass (paper or electronic) directly to a TSA employee. Instead, you should place the pass on the reader and then hold it up to allow the agent to visually inspect it.
• You are now allowed to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your hand luggage. You'll have to remove it for screening.
• To reduce handling during screening, put items such as your phone, coins and keys into your carry-on rather than the bins.
• Transport your food items in a clear plastic bag and also put them in a screening bin. Keeping your food separate from your carry-on means it's less likely a TSA agent will need to open your bag for inspection.
