"This wasn’t my first stay at GVH, but it will almost certainly be my last. It was my first time staying solo, and the experience fell well below expectations.
To give credit, the grounds appear well maintained since Hurricane Melissa. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
For the price I paid for three nights, the WiFi was completely unacceptable. Reliable internet is a basic expectation. I checked with the front desk multiple times and was assured it worked, it didn’t. Only at...

"The food was great. I had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and I enjoyed the meal. Overall, the staff was friendly, but I did not like the fact that the manager approached me for the bill but did not introduce herself. Also, I had a couple of days without hot water because the hot water heater is solar and it rained for a few days. Nevertheless, the views from the hotel were beautiful. "
