"Early start so no time for breakfast"

"We chose this hotel for our wedding anniversary and my husband’s birthday. Before our stay, I sent an email but received no response. When we arrived, we found out the hotel has no lift, so we had to carry our luggage upstairs ourselves — there were 60 steps. The room was nice and clean. However, every time we used the hot water, there was a loud noise coming from the pipes. On the third day, I asked for the room to be cleaned and noticed that the bed sheets had not been changed. On the fourth day, they still weren’t changed, which was a very negative and disappointing point. The breakfast was fairly good and acceptable. However, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone."

"Exceptionally accommodating staff. Jack was most pleasant and Phil most learned with regards cocktails. Sandra the manager is always most helpful. It really is an exceptional little boutique hotel . Thank you for a lovely stay I will return again in early June."

"Hotel was very clean and well maintained. The employees went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. The bar was so quaint and cool, good food also. The breakfast buffet in the morning was outstanding. The hotel is ocean front with great views and close to city center. It’s also walkable to the castle. Just a great hotel!"

"The restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent, staff were friendly, food was excellent, we were glad we didn’t have to go far to eat as being new to the town it was hard to find a place. I believe the restaurant is closing which will be a shame for future travellers.. I asked to check in 15mins early & was told it would cost £15 which I thought was a bit rude, the young girl couldn’t have cared less, when we did check in the guy that was there was rude & not helpful at all.. Hotel looked dated & unclean on the outside."
