We arrived before the check in time and they allowed us to have the room. The hotel is very clean, the beds comfortable and good breakfast. Location: the best in Manta

I was so happy to get a recommendation for Santa Marianita nr Manta, whilst the rest of Ecuador was under grey cloud. It has its own little sunny micro-climate plus has this little gorgeous gem of a hostel.
Oswaldo, the owner, is the most accommodating host and has made the hostel, with its bamboo structures, swimming pool, hot tub, pool table and hammock deck, the most delightful and relaxing place to stay.
Rooms are clean, spacious and the showers are with decent hot water.

It's a bit of a walk up the hill but means you have a great view of the sea and the town. There is a kitchen you can use on the first floor and a lovely rooftop to chill on.
The owner is really friendly and the family are super nice. Breakfast was included through Expedia and was eggs on toast, a fresh fruit juice and coffee/tea.
Would highly recommend this place if you're thinking of staying in PL.
