"This was such a unique place to stay! The owners were really sweet. The meals tho simple, were very delicious. I’m not gonna lie, I thought it was closer to ubud when I booked, it was quite a distance. I don’t regret it, it was quiet and really awesome. We rode bikes into the village and to the waterfall. Would definitely stay again. "

"One of the best resorts we stayed at in Ubud. The entire resort was very peaceful and quiet. We slept most of the time we were here due to Jetlag. Very relaxing spa. Great customer service and great restaurant with delicious food and we met a lot of great people at this resort highly recommend."
"Such a great stay. Beautiful accommodations, awesome staff, always ready to accommodate with any special requests. The perfect spot for a quiet getaway! "
"I wish I stayed here longer, before coming to Bali, I knew this was somewhere I wanted to stay. I wish I planned more of my trip here. It was so beautiful and the staff was incredible. "
"This place was gorgeous and truly the best place we stayed in Bali. The room is incredible, with a private infinity pool and beautiful views of the jungle and valley. Tons of birdwatching and monkeys in the distance. Staff were kind and responsive and friendly. We loved it. The massages at the spa were amazing, and the resort even had an Indian restaurant! My partner is Indian and said the food was so excellent. Overall would 100% return for a longer stay."

Kayangan Villa Ubud

A Hidden Gem in Ubud – Pure Tranquility at Kayangas Villa
Staying at Kayangas Villa in Ubud was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were embraced by warmth, hospitality, and a deep sense of peace. This villa is a sanctuary for anyone looking to escape the noise and chaos of city life and reconnect with nature in the most serene way possible.
The villa itself is beautifully designed—spacious, spotless, and surrounded by lush greenery. But the true highlight is what lies just behind it: endless rice fields that stretch into the horizon. At night, the soothing chorus of frogs fills the air, creating a natural symphony that gently lulls you to sleep. It’s a rare kind of calm that you can’t find just anywhere.
What truly elevated our experience, however, was Sriorini, our incredible host. She went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable—always kind, attentive, and eager to share the beauty of Balinese culture. Her presence made the experience feel more like visiting family than staying at a rental property.
Whether you’re seeking quiet reflection, a romantic retreat, or a place to simply breathe deeply and relax, Kayangas Villa is the perfect choice. We left feeling rejuvenated and already dreaming of our return. Highly, highly recommended.

10/10 Excellent
"We only stayed one night but, the staff were very kind and hospitable. Our room was lovely and very spacious. It is a beautiful resort, the spa treatments and yoga made us feel very relaxed, the breakfast was delicious. it is in a remote location so the road to the hotel is quite an adventure!"
"This place was really nice, very friendly.. I do want if you choose the villa, the bathroom is somewhat outside. So if you’re scared of lizards, frogs & other type of bugs coming in, book a room inside.. Overall very nice place to stay. Will be booking again!"
"It was a fantastic stay! The villas are beautiful and the staff is extremely friendly. It felt like a tropical paradise. I would definitely return if I come back! "
"I found a dirty used towel after checking into my room. The whole property has seen better days (in the 2000s?). Once you feel disgusted, you see all the brown patches on walls and pillows. I complained, but did not feel understood. We left after the first night, despite we paid for 5. No refund. It is ridiculous for the price, and I do not understand why expedia.com lists this property. Do not go there."
"I absolutely loved the ubud sawah homestay. This beautiful place has so much to offer and made my trip to Bali so special. The owners are so sweet and so attentive towards all the people who stay here. I arrived to the hotel at 3 am which made me nervous given that I didn’t know what to expect and I have never been to Bali before (also by myself as a female). The people here were more than happy to check me in. Anything I needed I was able to message them and they responded very quickly. The restaurant was one of my favorite parts of my stay, both the breakfasts and dinners were delicious. This place was exactly what I was looking for: a beautiful tucked away place that’s a little secluded but also near everything as well. I was not looking for a resort, I just wanted a small family run place where I could stay and not feel like a tourist.
One thing I would mention is that if you are in a wheelchair or have difficulties walking, moving around the property or your villa might be difficult. I myself am not affected by this but wanted to mention it in case anyone suffers from this. They may have accommodations for this that i’m not aware of as well.
Another thing I would like to mention based on some of the reviews regarding bugs… This is an island. If you’ve ever lived on an island, you’re aware of this. I was surprised there weren’t more bugs (mostly saw some ants) considering that you’re in the middle of rice fields. Thank you Yoga and Amy!"
