"My boyfriend and I stayed here because we were going to a show at Spats for my birthday. Neither of us have ever stayed in a Berkeley hotel and my GOODNESS are we so glad we stayed here!!! Considering how walking distance it is to a lot of great spots and how exceptional the staff and room is, the price is insanely reasonable. I was helped at the front desk by Quee (I think I spelled he name correctly, girl if you see this I miss you lol!!) and she was a DELIGHT. She helped me check in super easy and honestly I think its the most fun I've had just checking in haha. The room itself was very clean and very cozy, and the room service we ordered from the in-hotel restaurant was absolutely lovely. We ubered to Spats but ended up walking back around 1 AM and the area around the hotel seemed pretty safe to us. There was still plenty of night life happening and it felt very secure our whole walk back. The nighttime staff that was there when we came back was also very friendly and asked us about our night out which was nice! In the morning the front desk helped us out with getting checked out and our call pulled out of valet so when we left our room for the day it was just a straight walk to the car to load it and leave. I highly recommend this hotel of you're doing something in the area, you won't regret it!!"
