"I stayed in this hotel while visiting relatives in the area. I know this area because I lived in the local area as a child. The staff were very welcoming and efficient when I arrived. My room was a bit dated, however clean and everything worked as it should..There was some noise from something for a while at night. It sounded like a generator of some sort. Fortunately it stopped. There is free parking outside the hotel and I had no concerns about leaving my car there for the day. It iscalso...

"Quality and value of breakfast was poor with no fresh fruit or cheese or cold meats at the buffet and very poor portions on the 1 choice we were allowed to make from the main menu. "

"To be honest it was very loud from the gig place from across the road (Saturday) but it calmed down & it was quiet for the rest of the stay in spir of the house's very central location (& lots of good music in town). I had an issue with the window & appreciated that the hotel owner responded & resolved the situation.The rooms are lovingly decorated & warm, and the bed was very comfy. "

"Great stay at the Yarrow. The reception staff were fabulous. The spa was a lovely relaxing treat after a long walk. Shame the steam room was out of order and we weren’t told. Breakfast also really good and we weren’t hurried out when it finished. Would thoroughly recommend."

"Staff could not be more helpful and were always happy & willing to talk to guests. Food in restaurant was exactly what I have come to expect from Shepherd Neame Hotels and Pubs. I had room on 1st floor with access to roof terrace which had an excellent view of Viking Bay and the Sea. I found room very quiet at night with only the sound of the sea to be heard in the background. "
