"BEWARE!!!!!! 3 hours before my check-in time, I contacted the host for check-in instructions (it's an apartment, not a hotel with reception). The person told me that the apartment wasn't available but said they will help me find accommodation and urged me to get refund from Expedia as the new place wanted cash. After confirming that I got the refund, she said 'ok so I don't owe you anything, you're on your own finding a room, I'm not going to do it'. Wasted a day of my vacation trying to find a...

"Nice ocean view great apartment...very isolated area roads in complex area very deteriorated. Not so many places to ate or get anything you may need"

"The apt was perfect. Great air conditioners, hot water, clean and modern!!! Would stay here again and recommend to anyone traveling with kids 100%. The pool was well maintained and the beach was beautiful. The food at the restaurant was good as well."

"We loved our stay at Sol de Arena! The location just a short distance from Las Terrenas is perfect, as it's a little quieter. The pool and location right on the beach are fantastic. It felt very safe, and we loved the many restaurants and bars in the area. The company running the resort is fantastic - they'll help with free towel swaps and tips for activities. They even came by at 11 pm when I couldn't get the TV to work. We'll definitely be back!"
