Beautiful riad in the medina. Easily accessible from Bab Doukkala. Friendly hosts and excellent breakfast. Pleasant sitting areas with pool and open fires. Interesting roof terrace. Only criticism is that the bedroom we had was a bit of a squeeze. Fine for 1 night but would have been a bit limiting if staying longer.

I’ve visited several riad in Marrakesh and this was my favourite. It’s clean, tastefully curated, the bedrooms are very comfortable and the rooftop is massive. Furthermore, Riad Olema has the best heating I’ve experienced in Marrakesh and the entire riad smells fragrant. I’ve been in Marrakesh for a month and will be here for another 2 months but I plan to have retreats here during the week just for some extra quiet and comfort.

Had a fantastic stay at the Riad Olema. We stayed for 5 nights. The location is great, walkable to all the key sights in Marrakesh. This hotel is interesting! While the building is intriguing, the staff don’t know how to run a hotel. As an example, they said they will start serving breakfast at 8am, and based on that we scheduled our taxi, and day’s activities. When we came down at 8am, there was no one in the equivalent of the lobby, with the exception of a man, sleeping and snoring loudly on a sofa! After a while we found the guy who was supposed to get our breakfast ready, and after about 20min he started putting a few small cups of yogurt, a few small packs of butter and jams on the table. And when I told him that we are on the clock and need to leave soon, and asked him for other things that he had forgotten like bread and coffee, he didn’t like it, and he gave us the cold shoulder!

This road was fantastic and very well located with most tourist spots about a 20 minute walk. Hakim was so friendly and helpful. He even walked with me about 10 minutes when I left so that I would get the cheaper taxis. The back massage was the best I’ve had in my life and I have a massage in London once a month. It was 300 dirhams, roughly £30. I recommend staying here.
