The rooms were nice however needing an upgrade. The breakfast buffet was nice and had alot of choices where you didn't feel like you had the same thing every day. Great location as well.

We were entirely dissatisfied with the Queen room we were given. It was on the ground floor, in a dingy area of the hotel with no view and no natural light. The room itself was dated and unappealing. We would not stay here again.

Hotel had the best location. BUT…. The Staff,EXCEPT Solange, who was very kind and helpfull, needs training to be more helpful to guests. Also, the hotel needs an URGENT remodeling/refurnish of the bathrooms. DISGUSTING! Mold all Over it! Can’t understand how come a hotel chain as Novotel allows the hotel operador function with áreas in such a poor condition. The lamp bulb on the desk was “intermitent”. Fixed but not for long.

The location is excellent. The outdoor section has a superb view. It is close to nice walking places. The rooms are clean and quiet. The only problem was slow Internet. I was not part of the Accor network, which wld have permitted me to use free fast-speed internet. I had to use regular free guest access, and it was spotty and slow.

Insgesamt macht man nichts verkehrt. Das Hotel liegt gut und in Srandnähe (Plage des Catalans), hat einen sauberen Pool mit guter Aussicht. Ein netten Frühstücksraum mit derselben guten Aussicht und gutes Frühstück. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Einzig die Zimmer sind etwas altbacken und zweckmäßig. Aber in einer Stadt wie Marseille sollte das Zimmer eh nur zum schlafen genutzt werden... Was ein paar mal auffiel war, dass Tabletts vom Zimmerservice und leere Flaschen über längere Zeit auf dem Gang standen, bis sie eingesammelt wurden. Alles in allem ist das Hotel aber eine klare Empfehlung. Die Sicherheitskaution beträgt 100€ pro Nacht, die Webseite lässt da einige Unklarheiten, im Zweifel besser rechtzeitig nachfragen.

The public area around the children’s toys and reception were nice but the rooms and the pool didn’t really feel very clean. One day the pool was really cloudy and we were put off going into it. The staff on reception staff were very nice and helpful.

Greit hotel, men noe slitt

Novotel Marseille vioux port deler bygg med Sofitel vioux port. Novitel sier de er 4stjerner mens Sofitel er 5 stjerner. Kvaliteten på hotellet føles langt lengre fra hverandre selv om prisforskjellen på et dobbeltrom bare er 50euro. Vårt inntrykk er at Novitel er for kostbart i forhold til hva en får i form at det begynner å bli slitte golv, heiser og tak. Har bodd på bedre 3 stjerners hotel, så føler det hadde passet bedre med 3 enn 4 stjerner. Hotellet ligger fint plassert med litt over 1km til mange fine restauranter og bare noen hundre meter til stranden. Bassengområdet var fint med gratis håndklær og solsenger. Ble imidlertid fullt etter lunsj.
