"The hotel is situated in beautiful surroundings and we were lucky to be given a stone cottage apartment with outside decking overlooking the pond and grounds. Beautiful! The staff were all very pleasant but overstretched and and quite stressed at times. Breakfast was good but didn't run smoothly. The restaurant food and service was very good.The pool and spa were really lovely and the gym looked amazing.
Don't rely on trying to get a taxi anywhere. Our main reason for staying here was to visit...

"The staff were excellent, very helpful.
Food let the hotel down. Breakfast buffet ok… had dinner in one of the restaurants which was 5/10 . Hotel dated and a little tatty in places"

"There was a bag of rubbish outside our room when we arrived. The tub had a ball of hair and gunk stuck in the drain. Very dated, we do not recommend."

"All staff I encountered were pleasant, helpful, and approachable throughout my stay.
A dip in the hotel pool was extremely welcome during the current heatwave. I found it very relaxing, with plenty of room for swimming.
The room itself was pleasant and spacious; however, I was disappointed that there was no air conditioning, although a fan was provided in the wardrobe. There were also no plug sockets near the bed and no USB or USB-C charging outlets in the room, which is something most hotels...
