Absolutely terrible. The room was disgusting; never cleaned from the last person, waited for it to be cleaned and was done terribly. The pool had extension cords all on the deck from the pump being broken, the bathroom was out of order at the pool. The shower and bathroom in the room were terrible. Waited 20 minutes at the desk every time you need something. Been going there for 20+ years and I wouldn't go back of the room was free.

I booked this reservation 3 weeks prior to us arriving, we came early around 1 & check in is 3 but the hotel was oversold by 7 rooms , & there was no room for us a first , I was giving a key to a room that they thought somebody had not checked in and I ended up walking in someone's room with their stuff in there so I had to go back downstairs, the girl at the desk ended up giving us a room the hotel doesn't use because the fireplace is not working in it. It was a decent room. It had a nice private balcony. There was a hot tub Jacuzzi in there too as well and Our stay was fine , the room was clean , bed was comfortable shower was good, But my in-laws room not so much. Their bathroom was not clean _ the shower was pretty gross, You could tell it wasn't cleaned, but feel bad for the girl that works there & clearly does everything herself with no help. I also spoke with multiple guests while we were waiting for our breakfast to be put out & they had major issues with their rooms , toilets overflowing, no heat etc, quite a few guests said they would never stay again. The girl at the hotel was very helpful in accommodating us and we were grateful for it. We were up there for the Mayville Winter Festival. I would stay there again but I will say this whoever owns this hotel. You seriously need to do some upgrades and get the girl at the front desk Some more help if you're going to accommodate people and offer a hotel for people to stay. That's why I gave it a rating as a 3 Star.

This is a quiet out of season hotel and boy don’t you just know it. Positives: Super quiet, nice views. Negatives: No one present at reception, had to wait for someone in their pajamas to come check us in. We booked a deluxe with a tub, which wasn’t clean and I had to clean myself before I could use it. We were provided with 2 of the smallest towels. The room was janky, tv was so weird we couldn’t even use it. We found a pair of shorts from a previous guest in the drawers so cleaners aren’t really doing their job. Old mattresses with memory foam on top to try save them. On top of all that, upon waking up and moving sheets there was blood on the comforter.

Nope. Don’t do it. The beautiful Webb’s glory days are long gone, at least as of November 2025. So filthy, so unkempt, smell of marijuana throughout the building, half-used bath products left for the next guests (us) in the room, dirty towels and washcloth, deplorable and filthy pillows covered with hair, maybe three other guests in the entire place, and the list goes on. Filthy dust-ridden heater that, when we turned it on, blew dirt and dust throughout the room so we had to turn it off. Coffee maker with no cups thick with grime next to the envelope requesting tips (which was also stained, ironically). Not one staff member in sight. We left in the middle of a snowstorm and drove an additional 30 minutes…after midnight, IN A STORM…because we couldn’t dream of staying. (We didn’t stay of course for breakfast but I hit the star too quickly and couldn’t remove it). Thank you to Expedia and Jay for such extraordinary customer service at midnight on a holiday weekend.

Upon arrival there was no one at the desk , but the keys to our room were there with our names clearly on them. A phone next to the counter with a sign says pick up if you have any questions. So I did, person answering said we were all set. Room were clean and spacious. Breakfast in the morning was good and plentiful. Would definitely stay here again. Cheers

This place was probably great at one time - but would not stay again! When we arrived, there was nobody at the front desk. There was another customer there who told us he called the phone number from the websiteand they just set keys out for people to take for your room. Had your name and room number on it. The ice machines are broken. There was dirty rags in my bathtub. It said there was a restaurant there, but it is being sold so not open. The view of the lake is blocked by a lot of houses. The balcony had cobwebs and dead bugs all over it. Also, there’s a light on the balcony that gets turned on around 8:30 9 o’clock at night and it’s so bright that the curtains don’t even help it. Keep the light out when you’re trying to sleep. And there’s no way for you to turn it off. It’s controlled by the hotel the floor was dirty. I know they’re under renovation, but it was pretty sad on the Clean aspect of things we did didn’t even end up staying the whole night. We turned our keys in and just drove home. And we still never saw anyone at the front desk the whole time we were there. we arrived around 2 PM and all the stuff from breakfast time was still sitting out the outdoor area around the pool had peoples litter all over it. Just not worth the stay or the cost.

The bed rolled if across floor. No wheel stopper. The tv did not work. When guest service came they reached around the back to turn it on. We had to unplug it to turn it off. Could not find how they had turned it on. All in all not a good experience at all and not exactly inexpensive either.

The staff and this property are so unusually friendly and nice if they could get something or help us they would. Just cool people. Keep hoping some of the mess could be cleaned and rooms had properly working, handles, and locks. Coffee service was great! Usually with snacks ! AC bed and water were great! Every room had balcony! With a lake veiw!

Look elswhere

It is a somewhat reconditioned old motel. Rooms have a new coat of paint and new flooring. But the furniture is ancient. The bathroom was atrocious including: rusty fixtures, a square shower/bathtub with non-functioning water jets, and bad caulking throughout. It also has a a large cutout between the bathroom and bedroom with no glass. (See picture) Sounds and odors pass freely into the bedroom. Very unappealing! The free breakfast was abysmal. The check-in staff were courteous and the place appeared to be clean. Given the price ($200/night) it was way overpriced.
