"Standard chain Hotel experience. Rooms are nice enough, but small. Slightly cramped feeling, but everything was well maintained and clean. Bed slightly firm but comfortable. Excellent pillows. Annoying to have to have your room card to tap in the elevator in your with a group and on different floors, but a good safety feature so not a huge deal. Staff were all super helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet in the restaurant is really good. Very convenient location to most major downtown destinations. Plenty of restaurants and bars in walking distance."

"I was surprised that the pool, hot tube and steam room were permanently closed. None of the gym equipment worked and no water in the gym. Besides that, it was a good stay."

"There was plenty of parking. I was on the ground floor, so I was able to park outside my room. The outside of the property was very dodgy. Cans, paper, and an empty beer box. Not what you want to see. The reception area was clean and basically welcoming. The staff were pleasant. The room was excellent, clean, and fully equipped: bar fridge, microwave, well-made bed, Good bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The room was very warm, so I turned the thermostat off and opened the patio door for a while. The heating/cooling wall fan ran constantly. After a while, it just became white noise, which was a good thing. That is because the hotel is located on Portage Avenue, perhaps one of the busiest streets in Winnipeg. Transport trucks ran throughout daylight hours, and they were loud, sounding like thunder as they passed. The white noise dulled a lot of that. There was much less traffic at night, so sleeping was not really an issue. The bed was comfortable. The included breakfast was basic. The 'hot' food served was previously frozen and just reheated. The selection was adequate."
