"Don't go to this motel during the fourth weekend of August. First, there is a yearly NASCAR-type weekend in the region that attracts too many travelers. Second, it's also on a major truck route heading in and out of North Carolina, so that adds to the increase in use of the rooms by folks who don't take care of things. The motel can't keep up with the bookings. Third, the staff does a terrible job of maintaining the cleanliness of the rooms, and they don't seem to care. Our room had dirty sheets...

"Tried to charge me for a room I already paid for. Then tried to charge me a $20 pet fee when the Hotels.Com site specifically said $10. Room was FILTHY, baseboards hadn't been cleaned in years. Stains and scuffs all over walls. Left me one tiny bar of soap that was literally smashed in the package into crumbs. Water was barely above room temp and took a good 5 minutes to warm at all. Grounds had litter and trash thrown about. No wonder I was the only car there in a bust summer season. I wouldn't...
