"Modern hotel, good location. Room itself was good, however the location was poor (room 229). No sun at any time of day on the balcony. Right above the children’s play area at the restaurant so v noisy from early morning. Also next to the entertainment area, but back of stage so couldn’t actually see, but could hear! Entertainment stops at 10pm so not too bad. We didn’t move rooms as had already unpacked. We did pre-request a quiet location with a view - we got neither. This hotel is great if...

"We recently spent 4 days and 3 nights at the hotel and had a genuinely relaxing stay. From arrival, the hotel felt spotless and very well maintained. Cleanliness is clearly a priority throughout. Breakfast was a real highlight, with a wide variety each morning that delivered on both quality and choice. "Clean room. Rituals products in bathroom. Room had an ironing board, iron and hairdryer. Great ocean view. Lots of choice for breakfast. Pool side menu limited food options."

At least 8 power cuts in a hour period in that building suggests electrical failings and poor safely standards. Despite “No Smoking” signs in the room, no smoke detectors were apparent. The bedrooms were above the open kitchen meaning excess noise and poor sleep. Given such protential fire hazards, no fire escapes / exits were noticeable. Good: Friendly and efficient staff, excellent location of the hotel, great dinner, free parking (at least in the low season) Bad: Pools are cold (not heated at all?); mediocre breakfast; noisy evening entertainment.
