This property is located in Meta - outside of Sorrento proper. You probably need a scooter or car to get to Sorrento. The staff was super helpful. Most spoke English which is a huge help to me as I know almost no Italian. We also rented a scooter from them even though we also had a rental car, as Sorrento and neighboring towns are HEAVILY congested and driving is a nightmare here. The Property has parking in a the same gated area. When we went to Sorrento for tours, etc. we parked at the Central parking (underground) which is convenient.

Beautiful Oasis away from touristy Sorrento

Was great staying there. It was clean and well organized. The pool was bliss for when we decided not to go to the beach. They offered a discount card for us to borrow while we were there. The man who checked us in was super friendly and explained everything to us patiently so we'd understand. Our balcony overlooked the pool... Though we couldn't see the ocean. I'm certain no room can unless you're in the one with roof access. Overall was a beautiful time spent that we wished we could have extended but they were fully booked.

Ottimo soggiorno in questa struttura! Camera spaziosa, con veranda privata. Possibilità di usufruire della colazione sia in camera che nel giardino comune. Piscina pulita, con doccia esterna e sdraio/lettini. Il giardino comune è ben curato, e allestito con tavoli per poter trascorrere un pò di tempo in relax ed eventualmente mangiare fuori. personale molto disponibile nel fornire indicazioni su possibili escursioni. Abbiamo viaggiato con una bambina di 3 anni e una gatta: per la bimba su richiesta ci è stato fornito un lettino gratuitamente. Vicina ai mezzi pubblici (autobus da/per sorrento); mentre la spiaggia è raggiungibile a piedi in 10 minuti. Hanno anche una convenzione con uno dei bagni. Ci ritorneremo!

Everything that could go wrong went wrong.

I'd like to add that our experience was not at the fault of the hotel staff. It was just bad luck. We'd been upgraded to the villa due to a mistake with the booking. Arrived very late to the villa 00:30 and was greeted by a member of staff. When we woke up we discovered that there was no hot water. A plumber came out within two hours and advised the boiler was broken and that it couldn't be looked at until the next day. So we were moved back to the B&B in one of the smallest rooms we've ever stayed in. But it was fine. Then, again, no fault of the owners, but the power blew. It went out for a short period of time, came back on and went again for quite a while. Apparently this happened in quite a few places in Meta. Slightly irritating though as we needed to shower and get ready and there was no window in the bathroom so it was pitch black. This led us to be late to a wine tasting evening with the wedding party we were away with. The lady (I didn't catch her name) was very sorry for the bother and dealt with any issues very quickly. Which, after all, is what you need. It's much worse if there are problems and establishments ignore them. In terms of the break as a whole, we found it very hectic and a logistical nightmare with everything on "Italian Time". Restaurant staff were rude and could barely crack a smile (in Sorrento) and taxi's simply ripped you off (last train from Sorrento to Meta is 21:30 ish - we paid 70 Euro for taxi for 3 people with 2 stops - 20 min trip)

Comfortable and convenient

This small hotel was comfortable and basic. Meta is about 3-4 miles from Sorrento. It is a quiet town. The pool was very good and a welcome relief after a day's sightseeing in temperatures in the high 30s (there was a heatwave at the time). It was very well situated for the rail service - about 10 minutes walk. From there it was easy to access Sorrento (8 mins), Pompei (20 mins), and Herculaneum (40 mins). It was also easy to transfer from Herculaneum to Mt Vesuvius - it's not often you get the chance to look into a volcano! Overall, a comfortable base for sightseeing the area.

Very pleasant and great place to relax.

Like an oasis when returning from full tourist days, a very relaxed atmosphere. We were a family of 5 with 3 big teenagers, so the pool was great. There was plenty of space and we has a very enjoyable stay for 4 nights.

Camera pulita e sufficientemente spaziosa. La proprietaria simpatica e gentile. La colazione costa €. 3,50 a persona (caffè, croissant, succo di frutta, biscotti fette biscottate, nutella e arance fresche se uno vuol farsi una spremuta)

B&B in a Quiet Town

This was a very nice family-run B&B which is located in Meta. The staff, especially Rafael, were very welcoming, polite, and made a point of making sure our needs were taken care of. The pool was very well maintained, but be careful as it does not have a shallow end. The only drawback to this hotel is its location; it is in Meta, a small town 3 stops away on the Circumvesuviana to Sorrento, which means getting to major locations (Positano, Amalfi) can be a bit of a hassle. Meta is a charming town if you are looking for something quieter and more low-key; we found a few good restaurants and they have a very nice beach.

This is a fantastic choice if you are looking for a place to stay outside the bustle of Sorrento but with easy public transport access to naples, sorrento, amalifi, capri, etc. The b&b is spotless, beautifully furnished, good beds/showers all in all very comfortable, the owner can't do enough for you and even though you pay a little extra for breakfast its lovely. The pool is the highlight, quiet and deep perfect for us, no fighting for sunbeds here, so nice we didn't bother with the beach which although very picturesque was busy and you had to pay for sunbeds (discount if you get tickets at b&b). Plenty of decent eateries in Meta from simple pizza to lovely fresh seafood restaurants at the beach, the local pizzeria (outside the gate and turn right 3 mins walk) was fab, authentic and great value particularly good at lunchtime. The draft Italian wine from the shop on the corner was perfectly good for 3 euros for 1 1/2 litres (I kid you not). The only downside was the busy local road right outside the garden gate - there's no noise from it once you are in the garden its just a bit like running the gauntlet to cross the road at busy times, fine once you get used to it but probably a bit scary if you have small children/buggies. Probably not the best for people with mobility problems as the whole of the coast is hilly. All in all, a lovely little oasis, great value for money place to stay, delightful place to relax in between sightseeing.

Good guest house with lovely pool.

The room was clean and bright with a lovely balcony overlooking the secluded pool area. It was compact but was fine for a short stay and had air con which was a must while we were there in august. The owner was friendly and helpful and gave us information on transport etc in the local area and places to eat. Breakfast is not included but you can pay for a simple breakfast of coffee and a pastry (we didn't do this so I cant comment). The hotel is in Meta, a village near Sorrento. The train can take you into sorrento but does not come back later at night so you really need to have dinner in Meta or Piano di Sorrento, there are a few nice places to chose from but if you are walking you have to walk on the road in places because the villages don't really have continuous pavements and its hilly!

Familiehotel i top

skønt familiehotel i dejlig lille by Meta. Vi var 2 voksne og 4 børn og fik vores egen private P plad, samt 2 værelser ved siden af hinanden. Servicen fra Stefania er i top og afstanden til gode spisesteder og børnevenlig strand er lille. Hyggeligt familiehotel i hyggelige omgivelser.

Difficult to find!

Once we located this we were initially shown one room but asked to swop and this was done. The room we were given was pleasant and quiet and clean. The breakfast (3.30 euros pp extra) was basic but did include some fresh oranges to squeeze for fresh juice. The pool was clean and surprisingly deep. Meta as a town was not as quiet as hoped but we found an excellent restaurant in a nearby hotel on the beach that served good food and had a scenic view.
