"The front desk employee who checked us in on July 5th was the only negative part of our stay. She wasn’t rude, but the look on her face and her overall demeanor made us feel uncomfortable the moment we walked in with our luggage. We had been traveling all day, and the Beacon was one of the stops on our vacation, so we were tired and simply looking forward to checking in and relaxing. Instead of a warm welcome, we were met with an expression that made us feel uncomfortable. A smile and a friendly greeting would have made a world of difference. This is not a luxury hotel, just a place to rest.
On the positive side, our room was very clean and well organized, which we appreciated. However, the hotel advertised complimentary breakfast, and there was none, which was disappointing.
Overall, this is a decent hotel if you’re just looking for a clean place to sleep. I also highly recommend Gianni’s restaurant—it was excellent and one of the highlights of our trip."
