"We stayed one night before our cruise. The hotel was conveniently located to Brickell shopping and restaurants. Having a Publix just a few steps away was also convenient. The staff was efficient but not exactly friendly. The pool area with the balcony views were nice. The hotel lobby could use some new couches and chairs the material was badly worn. What we didn’t like about our room was that the carpet had a smell of urine in which was very unpleasant. Our air conditioning did not work in our room the night we stayed. It stayed around 78 degrees in our room overnight. We didn’t get much sleep but didn’t want to be call maintenance for just an overnight stay. Apparently more guests had the same issue. We overheard other guests the next morning discussing this issue. We probably will not stay at this property again."

"Upon arriving at the property, I was disappointed to see that the front lobby area was pretty rundown old, looking like it had not been updated in quite some time. Upon check-in, the staff was really good and efficient. Our room was very clean. I am very picky about cleanliness in a hotel room, but this room was very clean. We had a room with two full-size beds. The beds were very comfortable. Eight out of 10 staff were great when it came to customer service being friendly and accommodating. One of the girls that I dealt with at the counter was very abrupt and not very friendly. The elevators were out for a considerable amount of time. My husband has mobility issues along with Alzheimer’s/Vascular dementia. We had to walk down a flight of stairs and then one of the managers used a desk chair to push him from that floor down. It was very upsetting for him that kind of thing triggers behaviors, and somebody with memory issues. This also caused us to be late for the doctors appointments that we came for from Costa Rica. I felt very bad for the manager that helped us cause I’m sure it was hard on her back to push a share that far around a hotel I do realize we book this through Expedia, but I thought there should been some kind of compensation. We were given 2 breakfast to compensate for that. The sausage was greedy and terrible. The pancake batter was so thin it made terrible waffles."
