The rooms were a decent size, also the pool area was great. i did not like not having a microwave in the room, and only 1 microwave available for the whole place making it inconvenient.

Literally everyone I was checking in with were waiting for hours. My 80 year old dad had to wait 1 hour 20 minutes beyond check in time. And they were rude to everyone else.

The doors move on their own and make a lot of noise. The property is right by a busy street which is very loud and the balcony doors have openings which make the noise worse. The carpets were stained and in a sketchy area.

The air system in the room was horrible. It was hot and we had the air in 60 degrees. The gift shop was hardly open. Also our room came with breakfast included and we still had to pay for breakfast.

The room was clean. The mattress was very good. Paying the extra $15 for breakfast was not worth it. The food was fair but I have had much better breakfasts for free from other many hotel chains. The tables were not cleaned between uses. The air conditioner was not working well. I took off the cover and the filter was FILTHY! It was gross. They did have a microwave available to guests, which was nice.

Property was clean and the front desk attendants were very nice. It was a little tricky getting in and out of the property. It is right off of a very busy interstate so all night you hear sirens, cars honking and cars speeding by. It is not situated in the nicest area but I felt very safe at this property. I would stay again if I ever traveled to this area again.

Bugs crawling on the bathroom floor. I was then moved to another room. In that room the refrigerator wasn’t working, the pillow cases was dirty as well as the tub. I kept having to get my keys reactivated. Then the tv wasn’t working the last night of my stay. I will never book a room in the Holiday Inn again and I will never recommend them. My cousin whom I told to book with them also had a horrible experience.

very bad experience...when I arrived they had no rooms available...I had booked in advance...my wife had just had surgery...the receptionist told me I had to wait...I got upset...and he found one. He didn't want to help me...the people didn't want to clean the room...I had to beg for them to change the towels...to vacuum...and the smell of marijuana in the hallway was very strong...the reception was bad. way...only 2 people in the restaurant were very helpful...it had never happened to me in other hotels...I hope I never stay in that hotel again...

AC not working, we have to change the room, Only two ice machine, both broken. I have to ask for ice in the restaurant, room dirty, mold in the floor and bathroom. The pool water was green we couldn't swim in the pool, terrible.

This was the closest we could get to FIU for admitted student day. It was about a 20-25 minute drive to the Modesto campus on a Saturday morning; in the evening we drove to Little Havana from St. Agatha Church (across from FIU); it was convenient then as well. The staff was professional and friendly. The downsides were that it was very noisy at night, even on thy 10th floor. Our room had damaged sliding glass doors that had been patched up to close as much as possible but with the gap btwn them you could all the street level noise including engines revving, emergency vehicles, honking, etc. They were right on the highway so it was all night both nights. The entrance to the room had a big gap as well so light poured through all night. Just glad i couldn't see it from my bed. The tub was clean but in desperate need of replacement (peeling, chipped, old). The keys stopped working on the 2nd night and my husband had to go down to the lobby 2x to get them reprogrammed and then replaced. Also, we think this location services the cruise employee industry bc there were long lines of young men deboarding small busses waiting to check in several times. So glad we missed them by minutes several times. Oh and the pool was closed supposedly for repairs but it just looked like it wasn't being maintained. Not a great value for the $210/night, but there we no bugs and the beds were comfy. We felt safe in the area and we're grateful to have a place to stay while in town

The advertising for the hotel was very misleading. When we understood the hotel to be in the Miami airport area and of course, it was 40 minutes away. They were photographs of the Miami era. It was not fair and misleading. The hotel has very bad soundproofing and had traffic and people all night so that was disappointing. The room is very clean and the bedding is fine I would not stay there again.
