"Overall, a great stay. Staff was very friendly. We were greeted each time we arrived and acknowledged each time we left. A welcome bag was given with two waters. Room was spacious for NYC standards. Area was close to Bryant Park, walkable to Times Square, Fifth Ave, Theater district and Rockefeller Center. Whole Foods right down the street for snacks and drinks. It was a little noisy. Rooms aren’t soundproof so can hear neighbors taking, toilets flushing, hairdryers from other rooms. The doors...

"The hotel met our primary objective to be close to our daughter’s new apartment so we could assist with her move in. Our room was smaller than described which only had a desk chair to sit on. We stayed seven nights and were rudely awaken three times in the middle of the night. Twice by the fire alarm the first two nights and then by the hotel intercom announcement at 2:30 am that a fire alarm has gone off but there was no fire then again at 3:30am to tell us it wasn’t a fire alarm but a faulty...

"I’d give The New Yorker Hotel a 6/10 overall. The location and building itself are nice, but my experience ended on a frustrating note. I was charged a smoking fee even though I have never smoked in my life. Apparently their sensor was triggered by hairspray, which set it off and resulted in the charge. Now I’m stuck dealing with disputing a fee for something that simply didn’t happen. It’s honestly been a huge pain to deal with, and situations like this make the stay feel a lot less...

"When I arrived I received a very friendly greeting and I instantly felt welcomed. This was really great as I arrived late at night. My entire stay the staff was marvelous. The hotel has a really great atmosphere and vibe. I enjoyed my room, it was clean, cozy and warm! It had a microwave, Keurig and fridge. The hotel is also in a really great location. Not far from Penn Station. WiFi was fast and worked really well. I plan to stay here again. I definitely recommend! "
