"The location of the property is glorious, spectacular views and if you do not wish to eat in the restaurant there are several others about a one mile walk away in Balloch or a short drive. "My wife and I had a decent stay at the Royal Marine, though it was a bit of a mixed bag. The building looks magnificent, and although a little tired, has fantastic potential with some TLC. Our room was spotless, and we enjoyed paying extra for the sea view; watching the ferry terminal activity was actually quite relaxing. "Lovely overnight stay at The Wellington whilst attending a retirement party in an establishment on nearby Bothwell Street..We were allocated a lovely room on the 3rd floor. Room was very modern and welcoming with everything you would expect and require in a hotel of this standard. Didn't spend a great deal of time actually in the room due to party but have to say the bed was exceptionally comfortable and we both had a great nights sleep.
