"The views from the hilltop were spectacular and we loved sitting outside with our delicious breakfast. Our accommodation was spacious and comfortable and as the final days of our trip this was a perfect wind down. I would love to go back for longer"
"Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. "
"The property we stayed in was new and has been built to a very high standard. All the rooms have a shower and seperate toilet. A sink is located in each room next to the door. The living areas are bright and clean with floor to ceiling windows/doors, open plan kitchen diner with lots of space with modern appliances. You are near the airport so planes can be heard above relatively loud and often but it did not impact our sleep. It was a short (2-3m) walk to many dining options for food or coffee as well. "The hotel was incredibly clean and food amazing. Great views from your Sunbed and the best sandy beach I have been to in Greece.
Only downsides are the amount of sunbeds pool side so you often have to get up early to get a bed or you will be on the beach. Then the beach club next door played music a few nights until the early hours which kept us awake. Other than that it is an amazing hotel "
