"We always have a great time at the Hopetoun. The rooms are spacious, cosy and clean, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food is always amazing! We look forward to going back - highly recommended!"

"The hotel and setting were fantastic. The dinner menu and food were excellent. While a full breakfast was offered we opted for the continental breakfast which was very ordinary. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable but the room's furnishing were sparse. There were no outlets on either side of the bed which can be a minor inconvenience if use your phone as your bedside clock and still need to charge it. All said, the character of the hotel and the friendly staff made this a perfect...

"Great location, serene environment and friendly/professional staff. Really enjoyed the dinner in the restaurant, served by great staff and delicious food. So far my best stay in Scotland."

"What a lovely welcoming Hotel. Loved the ambience from the moment we walked in the door. Reception staff excellent. Our room was also very nice. We had dinner and this was so good. 5 stars all round."

"Lovely old house, the bedrooms were warm and cosy and the breakfast was exceptional"

"Great stay. Derek and Rena were lovely hosts. Breakfast was great. Overall a very nice stay indeed."

"Clean and well situated. Well priced."

"The public areas were a bit dark and gloomy. The bedroom was hot and stuffy even with the windows open. Some furniture was quite old fashioned but the bed was comfortable enough. The food was OK but lacked better wine choices. The breakfast was a bit too greasy. Staff were friendly and helpful."
