"We had a 3 days visit in Villa Lara! It was perfect for us, the owner Dino was a super host and upgraded us to a better room with a terrace, had fresh new baked croissants every morning and also made us cappuchini. We also got a bucket with ice when we brought home some cava. The rooms had a very good standard and was cleaned every day! "Location was great - we loved the small commercial area and coastline within walking distance from the property. The property was very peaceful and quiet which we loved. Room was clean and staff were helpful. Unfortunately the pool wasn't open in May which was one critical reason I booked this property. I did not see this in the Description's fine print when booking (so I guess that is my fault for not looking more carefully?) and only found out when we arrived which was a big disappointment. The room was very small and smelled heavily of chemical disinfectant - I thought it would ease up over time, but it did not and we needed to keep the windows and door open at all times. Due to these issues, I would not book there again. Sorry."

"The property is stunning and very peaceful. A great place for a family of 4 or two couples. The kitchen/ entertaining area is vast, everything very modern and stylish and the pool and out door seating areas amazing. A real 5 star treat for a week away. Make sure that you have a car though, as you can't walk anywhere."

"We chose the hotel as it was close to a wedding venue we were attending. The garden is well kept and very pretty. Alex was very helpful keeping us supplied with drink and sandwiches when needed. We have to give a shout out to guiseppe and his sister for picking us up from the train station and not only that guiseppe kindly gave us a lift to the next hotel."

"The positives- the shuttle drivers a daytime front desk staff were wonderful and very helpful. The breakfast was sufficient and the rooms were large. The lady outside our room until after 11 pm seemed wonderful for the attendees who screamed and yelled until midnight but not as much for guests who paid for rooms to sleep in and the night staffs response of “it’s a party” was very dismissive. The dining room at night definitely takes advantage of the lack of other options in the area by charging high prices. The property is a bit dated and coming during off season does not allow you to use other amenities. I would look at other areas surrounding Bari if you don’t want to stay in the city"
