"1) when booking, I selected "pay at property", as this was a working trip. I arrived to check in and use my work card, not the one that Expedia had on file. I found the hotel had charged my personal card which resulted in an overdraft fee and several hours of trying to sort out my account. They would not let me use the bank card I brought with me. When contacted about the best way to proceed with a refund or to charge a different card, I was told it was a third party processing problem, not theirs. When contacting Expedia I was told to contact the property. At a loss.
2) the odor in the room, specifically emanating from the drain, was incredibly bad. The entire room smelled like sewage. Slept with the windows and doors open to sleep comfortably.
3) as we were leaving in the morning I was waiting outside my room, since it smelled so bad inside, sitting on one of the flower bed ledges. The maid was cleaning the room above us and without looking below shook out a dirty mat covering me with debris, rocks, and dust. My team witnessed this happen. At the very least glance down at the walkway before shaking a dirty mat out over where guests may be.
I’ve never left a negative review about a hotel before this one. So disappointing. "
