the young gentleman at the desk was very kind and helpful. It was a nice evening. Room was clean and area seemed to be safe.

Travelodge by Wyndham Monterey Bay
Staff was courteous. First room had a sink that didn't drain and a TV that didn't work. So had to change rooms which took a long time.

The Monterey Hotel
The room was really dated. The carpet was in bad shape. There were nicks in the paint and stains on the walls. The bed was ok. The bathroom fixtures were from the 70s or 80s. Water pressure in shower was good. I was put in the historic part of the hotel which apparently means it is old and neglected. ...
