Quaint hotel with a lovely patio and outdoor seating area. Room was nicely decorated, clean and quiet. Staff very friendly. Grounds were well maintained with lovely plants and flowers. Price was reasonable too. Would definitely stay here again.

My only regret was to use Expedia for this reservation, since they ripped me off for -30% more than the Carmel Wayfarer Inn would have charged me!!!! Expedia sucks bigtime!! Dr R H Fish. PS: the Inn was great, and we will return next year for Birthday treats, and make our reservation directly with the Inn!!!

Staff was very courteous and gave great pointers during our weekend stay, it felt like a mom & pop run business where customer satisfaction was always the aim. Mike was great and we'll definitely stay there again due to the prime location and convenience to the shopping, dining and the beach. There was an issue where we mistakenly double-booked and Mike was so understanding and gave us a break. Most other places would've just gave us the standard lip service but Mike definitely worked with us to where both parties were satisfied. Great Customer Service!! We'll definitely be staying there again.

Every time I come to Carmel-by-the-Sea, I stay at the Wayfarer Inn. This Inn is charming and beautiful. It is walking distance to the beach and all the shops and restaurants near Ocean Avenue. Highly recommend!
