I don’t usually post reviews, but I wanted to share a few thoughts because I booked with certain expectations. Overall, our stay was great. We stayed in a suite with our family, and it was spacious and clean, which we really appreciated.
Upon arrival, we were informed parking was $11 per night. This wasn’t mentioned on any booking site I checked. Since we were already paying to stay, parking wasn’t limited, and the property wasn’t busy, the added fee felt unnecessary. Clear communication upfront would be appreciated.
I had specifically noted the importance of blackout curtains or drapes when booking, as light easily disrupts sleep for both my daughter and me. The room had wooden shutters, but there were large gaps that allowed quite a bit of light in—especially with the porch light shining through overnight which couldn’t be turned off. True blackout curtains would have made a noticeable difference.
The bathrooms were nice and spacious, but the large sink left very limited usable counter space for personal items. There also weren’t any hooks to hang towels, and additional shelving or a small bench would have made it much more functional, especially for placing a change of clothes (or whatever else) on for after showering.
I worked in hospitality for years, so I may be a bit detail-oriented, but it’s often the little touches that elevate a stay from good to great. Overall, we enjoyed our time and hope this feedback is helpful.
