The room.was run down, dark, dreary, ants all over the place in room, bathroom. The check in was not friendly, the pool was closed, and was just not what pictures look like at all ...its a dump. We would never stay here again.

Monterey Surf Inn
It’s our go to place everytime we go to Monterey, price is usually reasonable and the Mall is across the street ( walkable) there are places to eat at the mall and down the street a little.
