Motel 6 Los Angeles, CA - Los Angeles - LAX
6/10 Okay
"Clean and tidy. Quite out dated but served its purpose for a quick one night lay over."

Sonesta Los Angeles Airport LAX
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel is generally good, but the experience during the initial check in was a bit off. The door man was insisting on hold my car key, which I do not have due to having rented to e car and not given one, my phone was the access to the car, but when I offered to give him my phone, he refused. The check-in lady was quick but with a why-Bother face. The younger door man later on was very friendly and the even younger one next morning was also very attentive and helpful."

Hotel Burbank
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel is in a convenient area close to our are departing flight, close enough to sightseeing spots in LA and lots of restaurants, eating spots which were very good. And there’s a mall in walking distance. Seemed to be a very clean, safe and great area to explore. We are considering staying there when we come back with the grandchildren to see Universal Studios. GREAT CENTRAL SPOT!"

Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel
8/10 Good
"ok"

Holiday Inn Los Angeles - LAX Airport by IHG
8/10 Good
"The Concierge Joe is awesome. Very helpful with luggage, tours and just a great personality doing a great job."

Sheraton Universal Hotel
6/10 Okay
"Rooms are in serious need of improvement. The latch on the door out to the balcony was broken, bathroom door very squeaky. Apparently our room was the only one that didn’t have chairs on the balcony? So I couldn’t enjoy it really.
So the hotel passes by as a 4 star, but the rooms are a 3 star.
Beds were comfortable and clean. Room service was great.
The parking situation is outrageous. $55 a day is crazy. I have clients who were going to stay for a week at this hotel, but gave up because of the parking price. "

Hyatt Regency Los Angeles International Airport
4/10 Poor
"The hotel shuttle service is very bad. I waited more than 40 min. The shuttle drove by without stopping at the terminal because it is full. There seems to be one shuttle in service. The shuttle service is outsourced to the parking company next to the hotel. Do not recommend this hotel if you need a shuttle pick up at the LAX airport."

Freehand Los Angeles
2/10 Terrible
"Bathroom flooded and ruined some of clothing I had sitting in a cloth bag on the bathroom floor I placed there the night beforehand to have ready to go."

Howard Johnson by Wyndham Anaheim Hotel and Water Playground
10/10 Excellent
"We chose the HoJo on South Harbor specifically for the Disneyland trip, and it waa exactly what we needed. The 8-minute walk to the Disneyland Resort entrance is no exaggeration — it’s genuinely one of the closest hotels to the parks without paying Disneyland hotel prices.
We booked the Baby Shark themed bunk bed room, and our daughter was absolutely thrilled with it. It’s a clever touch that gets the kids excited about the hotel itself, not just the destination. The bunk bed gave her a sense of her own space and she talked about it as much as the rides.
The on-site Castaway Cove water playground features a 30-foot pirate ship with drench buckets, slides, and water cannons — a solid bonus for families, especially as a wind-down option after a long park day. The rooms include a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker , which is genuinely useful when you’re trying to manage snacks and early morning logistics with kids.
Location is the headline selling point here. It’s a designated Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel with no shuttle needed — you walk, which saves time and money compared to off-site hotels running shuttles.
It’s not a luxury property — don’t come in expecting that. But for a family focused on maximizing park time with a comfortable, well-located base, it punches well above its price point.
Bottom line: Smart choice for a Disneyland trip with kids. Themed rooms are a genuine hit with little ones, the walk to the park is as short as advertised."
