This is a unique spot, with the hotel being layed out across only a couple of floors high up within a brutalist architectural building. The outdoor heated pool is at the heart of this hotel and the whole family enjoyed the experience of swimming in the mist. We were given a 2 pm checkout because of the freezing rain, which was very generous. Most staff were polite and gracious, although a couple of the older men were a bit condescending. Disappointingly, the executive breakfast buffet was out of eggs for the 30 min we were there. The primary issue, however, was lack of soap. Once in our room we noticed there was no hand soap in our bathroom (nor any shower wash). I stopped by the front desk on the way out for dinner and mentioned it. Staff apologized but when we returned later, we found four new tubes of hand lotion in our bathroom but still no soap. I took the lotion back to the front desk and let them know, thinking it had been a simple miscommunication. Again they apologized, and said they would contact housekeeping. The next morning, I stopped by the front deak again, and this time was told the hotel was out of soap and it was backordered. I am not trying to have super high standards here, but having hand soap for your guest rooms seems like it should be a priority for a hotel with 100s of people sharing common spaces. Maybe worth sending someone to the store to buy some temporary soap. Seems like comms, stock and kitchen need tweaking. In the meantime, byos.
