We appreciate your feed back, however from your review you have been in the hotel on various occasions for meals, so must have been aware of the location and the surrounding area prior to booking, thus knowing there were various pubs around the hotel, and un fortunately we are unable to control the volume of the public as they walk along George Street.If asked we could have given you additional pillows if the ones in the room were not to your liking.Breakfast service is not a pre-booked slot allowing customers to come down when they wish to take breakfast within the hours served, as this is the case when you have a number of rooms coming down to the dining room at the same time service will slow down and may not be immediate due to us continuing to cook the breakfast to order rather than offering a buffet service, it was not helped on the morning when the waitress accidently gave the wrong breakfasts to the wrong room and they did not say to her, this slowing the chef down as he was then trying to ascertain which room number had been missed to ensure they were fed prior to the later orders as they had been waiting the longest. The waitress is also aware that if she requires help that she needs to ask for this but she felt she was in control until the error occurred.

Thank you for your review, you do require to be agile if allocated on the top floor, but if when booking customers can request rooms on the lower floors. The receptionist would assist the breakfast waitress if needed, we will note this and revise our procedures to try and eradicate any issues moving forward. When advised of the issues the guest was facing a member of staff went to the room, the flush was tested on the toilet and it was working and still is. The heater is on a timer which can be manually overridden and controlled by the guest, as it is an electric heater. We always go out of our way to ensure guests are happy and if there had been an issue we would have moved the guest to another bedroom and arranged to have the faults sorted.

We have rooms of varying sizes, this is reflected in the pricing of the accommodation. We have undertaken replacement of windows which is an ongoing project as this has to be in keeping with local planning regulations.

Thank you for your review, In regards to the window, these can all be closed, not all staff are able to do this due to the type of window, we had found that most customers have preferred to have had these open to allow fresh air to circulate.

Thank you for your review Scott, background to our top floor rooms were that this was once accommodation for the owners of the hotel, when it was converted to bedrooms at the time the rooms shared a bathroom, through time as guest expectations changed they were all converted to en-suite which resulted in a mix of the size of the en-suites on the top floor due to the positioning of the rooms. We will look at what we can do regarding the light above the sink.
