"Our room had an amazing view and was overall very nice. We had issues with ants in the room though. The first day the cleaning crew did not come to our room. When I called they quickly sent someone with towels and from them on the room was cleaned. The room was at the back of the property. The was was far and the shuttle wait was long. There is no parking near the room. I was excited to ride the boats to the room. Those were not operating any longer. The hotel has restaurants and many amenities but be prepared to pay for everything and the prices are astronomical. Additionally, there are resort and parking fees that tagged on another $100 in total. The resort is beautiful but be prepared to walk long distances as nothing is close by. It would be a great place for families and also those who just want to stay at the resort."

"The two bedroom/two bath villa was clean, spacious, and the kitchen was fully equipped with dishes and cookware. The balcony overlooking the golf course was relaxing and the Villa was very comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. One suggestion is the bedrooms could have been equipped with more outlets to charge cell phones. Other than that, we enjoyed our 3-night stay at Paniolo Gardens."

"We have stayed there twice, already planning our third visit. The staff were extremely kind, helpful, pleasant. Ocean view was amazing. My only negative statement would be, it does not make sense having parents’ breakfast included, but paying for kids for buffet breakfast (would be better if breakfast was included for whole party)"

"Room was good size, door was sticky and a light did not work. It was fixed but stopped a few hours later. Great sunsets from all the restaurants. Spa was a nice experience. Snorkel rent is convenient. Grounds are lovely. Restaurants are expensive and the food is ok but not great. Room service is not available until 7:15 am. Menu says 6:30 but that’s when they start not when you can get food. There is a deli on the grounds that you can go to that opens earlier."

"Absolutely loved everything about the Fairmont Gold experience. I would sincerely recommend staying with a Fairmont Gould, as there was an amazing breakfast, great staff, own concierge, nicer floor.. the food options for breakfast or actually a great money saver with really high-quality food versus going to the restaurants. Amazing food options at the hotel, great amenities. Snorkeling in the lagoon with sea turtles and hundreds of tropical fish. Luau on property."

"We rented a unit on the second floor of building E. It had a large, well-furnished balcony with a fabulous view of the sunset each evening. The location was great and included a designated covered parking space. Access to the exclusive Mauna Lani Beach Club was a huge perk. The shops at Mauna Lani were a 2-min drive away and there was a shop in that location to rent snorkel gear. This area of the island was perfect for a relaxing stay for our family of four. The washer and dryer in the unit were very helpful and the option to cook and eat in the unit was also a huge bonus."
