"Complete lack of communication."

"Nice little motel right in town close to everything. I specifically did not want to stay in Anchorage. Eagle River had everything we needed and was nice jump off to drive out into the middle of the state."

The furnishings were thrift shop-esque. The check-in process did not go well. We were given a combination for the building door that worked, but the combo for the door to the room did not. We contacted the property manager and they had a person there to help us in minutes. Once the room was accessed it appeared that it was occupied...

"Place needed a total refrub .In very poor state of repair and the decor very drab. Transfer to the airport did not happen and was offered no alternative or apology given. Had to get a taxi at the last minute which I had to pay for. All in all very poor. Very expensive for what was on offer.. Not to be recommended."

"The man at the front desk when we checked in may 21, 2026 around 4:30ish pm was the best. He went out of his way to explain parking to me. His explanation should be included in the voyager inn website because it is a complete picture of your options. The website just says public parking - let me tell you the parking availability is dicey. You must pay the meter when you street park. Check the rules or u will be ticketed. The lot across the street that is for parking services has time limits...

"We were so pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We stayed two nights before retunning home from Australia. The staff the whole time we stayed were just so friendly and helpful. The room was a great size, the location was perfect and the price really great value. Highly recommend!"

"We loved everything! Pleasant helpful staff, beautiful full breakfast every morning until 9:30 M-F and breakfast until 10:30am Sat and Sun. Nice large laundry FREE for guests FYI Walmart is literally across the small road to buy trail size laundry soap. The front desk does offer laundry soap to buy but Walmart has it for only $1.17 a load when you go to the travel size section in Walmart. The only thing I didn’t like was the breakfast for few days in a row had the same egg with cheese...

"I was exceptionally disappointed having paid $299USD for a room that looked like it was part of a horror film set. From blood splatter on the wall in the bathroom, two of three broken bathroom lights, black mold in the shower, busted blinds, squeaky beds and a horrid smell throughout. When I searched the day of my stay what the rate was, it showed $249CAD (almost half of what I was paying). The staff were of no help to remedy this situation or cancel our stay.
